Sell through Canopy

Canopy is a wholesale marketplace for licensed retailers, supplied out of one warehouse. Vendors put stock into that warehouse and it goes onto the shelves of shops already buying here — with the picking, the packing, the delivery and the money handled by the same system that runs the floor.

Applications are not open as a form yet.

Vendor accounts are opened by hand today, one conversation at a time. Everything below is the real process rather than a plan — each step is a state the warehouse already keeps — and this page becomes the form when there is one worth filling in.

How it goes

Five steps. The first is a conversation; the rest happen once and then keep happening on their own.

  1. 1.You get in touch

    Today, by email

A conversation rather than a form: what you make, in what volumes, and under which licence. The warehouse decides what it lists — this is a curated marketplace, not an open one, and that is the point of it for the retailers buying here.

  2. 2.Paperwork and terms

    Agreed once

Your company details and licence, the commission, and a bank reference for payouts. The commission is set once and is inclusive of the shelf price, so the figure a buyer sees is the figure a buyer pays and your share is the part behind it.

  3. 3.Your account is opened

    Warehouse-side

A vendor record is created and approved, and a login is issued to a named person at your company. Until an administrator approves it the login exists and sees nothing, which is deliberate — an unapproved account should wait rather than show an empty console.

  4. 4.Products are attributed to you

    Per product

Stock you supply is set up in the warehouse and carries your name from then on. It appears on your listings screen, on the buyer's product page as the seller, and in the seller directory.

  5. 5.You are paid on what sells

    Per order

Every paid order credits your wallet at the moment the money arrives rather than when the parcel leaves, and every fee taken appears as its own line against the order it came from. Payouts are recorded against the same statement.

What you will be asked for

Worth having ready before the first conversation. None of it is uploaded here.

  • Company registration and, if you are registered for it, a VAT number
  • The cannabis licence you trade under
  • A named contact — the person whose login this will be
  • Bank details for payouts, given to the warehouse rather than typed into this site
  • Certificates of analysis for what you supply, as the warehouse asks for them

What is already built

The account itself is not the waiting part. Once a vendor login exists it opens on a console with three screens, all reading the warehouse directly:

  • Your listings, with their state on the storefront
  • Units and revenue per product, by month
  • A statement: sales credited, fees charged, payouts made

What a vendor is never shown is who bought: sales are aggregates, by construction rather than by policy. The buyers are the warehouse’s customers, not its suppliers’.

Getting started

Approach the warehouse directly — this storefront buys from host3.saleswift.co.za, and the people who run it decide what is listed. If a retailer here introduced you, say so: that is the shortest route.
